Mark Sosa is a Photographer and New Media Artist based in Long Beach. His journey started in high school when he first picked up a camera and started shooting film. Initially, he produced many shorts with his friend, which eventually led him to experiment with different techniques. He then utilized the skills he acquired from working in film and with a camera, transitioning to photography. This allowed him to embrace the art of photography and paved the way for him to abandon film for a few years.
However, he eventually returned to film with his latest work, the video art piece Shoreline View Mid-Afternoon (exhibited at the The Mind Weaves the Webs We Need exhibition, Icehouse Arts Complex in December 2022). Mark has stayed in Long Beach and worked with artists from various backgrounds. This has allowed him to expand to other mediums of art like design, video art, and sound. He continues to work tirelessly every day and collaborates with other artists, which lets him become immersed within the Long Beach art community. His art is constantly evolving and growing as he continues to work and embrace new experiences.
Overall, Mark Sosa is a talented artist who has created an impressive portfolio of work that deserves recognition. His dedication to his craft and willingness to collaborate with other artists is a testament to his passion for art.
